Manicure Styles for Fall
Leeza

Now that it's fall and the weather has changed, it's time to take very good care of your hands by getting a manicure, whether from your local nail salon or from a friend or even giving one to yourself. You deserve it! You've been working hard, working your fingers to the bone, slaving away, or you can use whatever reason you want, but get yourself a manicure. You’ll feel so much better and your hands will look great as well.

Since it's fall, you can also do some fun things with your manicure. Ask your manicurist if they have any harvest or Halloween themed decals that they can apply to your nails. They should have a big assortment of black cats, ghosts, ghouls, moons, orange pumpkins or jack-o-lanterns and monsters. If they don’t have any decals, you can stop by your nearest party store and look through their Halloween costume section as they’re sure to have some nail decals to celebrate the season.

If you don’t want to have any decals put on your nails, talk to your manicurist about painting something on your nails directly. Most salons will accommodate this request year round, as women love to have designs on their nails. Some of the holiday themed ones I’ve seen have been red, white and blue flags for the fourth of July, or simply having the red white and blue added in lines on the nail. There have been little green four leaf clovers for St. Paddy’s Day and red hearts for Valentine’s Day celebrations, for Christmas they can paint colorful trees or ornaments or even packages with ribbons on them. Whatever your imagination can devise, your nail artist can probably paint on your nails.

Nail art has become a big business, with some nail salons offering a wall of designs that can be applied on the nails or placed on with decals. It’s almost like getting a tattoo but a lot less permanent and even might be more fun.
Not only can you have art on your nails, your nail artist can place small rhinestones on your nails in order to spice up your look. A solid color with a bright diamond-looking sparkle placed on the tip of your nail is an eye-catching piece of beauty every time. A talented nail artist that can attach small semi-precious or non-precious stones to your manicured and polished nails will be in high demand, so make sure you call ahead for an appointment.

Whatever style of nail art you choose, decals, paintings or shiny stones, your hands are going to attract attention wherever you go and really ladies, isn’t that one of the reasons you get a manicure in the first place? You wouldn’t go out the door without being dressed, don’t go out without dressing your nails for the season, for parties and for plain and simple fun.
